The classic twist-on connector. Strip the wires, hold them side by side, and turn the nut until the spring inside bites down. The shell is flame-retardant thermoplastic, which we rate UL 94V-2, and the spring is zinc-plated steel.
Color tells the size. Grey and blue take the smallest combinations, orange the middle, yellow and red the largest, up to two 10 AWG wires in the red.
What it will not do
- The maker does not rate them for aluminum wire.
- Not sealed. Outdoors, a nut needs a weatherproof box.
