The same crimped sleeve as our insulated ferrules without the plastic collar. That makes it shorter and narrower, so it goes into crowded terminal blocks and into holes a collar would not pass.
Without a collar there is no color to read, so a gauge you use often is easier to spot in the insulated range. Choose bare ferrules where space is the problem.
What it will not do

These XHF AWG 18 insulated wire ferrules have been a fantastic addition to my toolkit for panel work and low-voltage wiring jobs. With 1000 pieces in the pack, they’re perfect for high-volume applications, and the price is far better than what you'd pay at suppliers like Grainger, without sacrificing quality.
I'm into ham radio and bought these to use on the ends of my elevated radial wires. I crimp one onto the end of each wire and then use them with WAGO lever nuts so I can quickly connect and disconnect radials when I change bands.
